What does "programming" in computers mean?

- programming is a process that experts do. 

 all the knowledgeable people come together and develop software. they machine code the             computers and develop the software, the purpose of programming is to find instructions so that the computer can automatically can solve tasks and perform a specific task. 

How has it evolved?

- programming languages has existed for over 200 years. it was a 100 years ago the first electrical         computer existed. 1955 the first programming language was born.
